Question: Can Acai Berry Products Cause Diarrhoea?
The acai berry has been promoted as nature’s miracle fruit. It can supposedly do it all—it has a high amount of vitamins, fibre, antioxidants, and more. But a lot of people wonder about side effects, especially if they’ve never taken a nutritional supplement like the acai berry before. For people who are going to do a colon cleansing regiment that includes the acai berry, they may be especially concerned about getting diarrhoea when taking the product. Fortunately, most colon cleansing products and acai berry products that do not contain other ingredients do not cause diarrhoea.
One of the reasons people are afraid an acai berry colon cleansing product will cause diarrhoea is because of what colon cleansers do. The basically introduce a large amount of fibre to your body so that it will flush out all the toxins and wastes that have collected in your system. Fibre makes your body more regular, so you will go to the bathroom more often. However, it does not induce diarrhoea. Acai berry products, while still possibly containing more fibre than you usually get, likewise should not cause diarrhoea. If you experience diarrhoea while using either product, you may wish to stop taking it for a few days.
