Aim For A Controlled Diet
A controlled diet is one where you are watching what you eat with the intention of getting the right volumes of the right kind of foods into your system. It is not one where you find yourself starving from morning to night, nor one where you are cutting vital parts of your diet out of your daily routine. The Atkins diet is a perfect example of a diet that is simply not sustainable; there are many other examples like the Cabbage Soup diet which, frankly, are just ridiculous.
Instead of entering into a crash diet like this, why not just learn more about the foods with which you are feeding yourself. Knowing more about your food means you know what to eat, and when. If you’re aiming for weight loss then you will learn how to achieve that; if you want to increase your weight then that’s easy enough to figure out, too. I started learning about my food and my body just recently, and I must say it has been a high educational experience. I found out why things like Acai supplements are a great way to help your body, and why the Atkins diet most definitely is not.
