A Diet Where You Eat More? Tell Me More!

I used to be one of those people that was always on a crash diet. I would undergo a few weeks of usually quite rapid weight loss then, once the diet period was over, I would go straight back to my ‘bad’ ways. For some reason (I still haven’t worked it out yet) I thought that the body would cope differently with the abuse I was giving it this time around… obviously it didn’t. My weight was up and down like a yo yo for 10 years or so. Eventually, I sat down and thought about what I was doing.

My first step was to go to nutritionist and discuss my problems with him. I was expecting miracles, but of course he told me the obvious: eat properly and and exercise more. Oh, and try this Acai juice product. I was intrigued by the Acai, but the rest of his advice just didn’t sound like much fun at all.

He went on to explain further: it is not necessarily what you eat, but how you eat it. ‘Grazing’ small amounts of food on a regular basis is much better for your body than ‘Gorging’ occasionally. I started to change my lifestyle and tried to eat small amounts more regularly. This meant that I wasn’t actually ever hungry, but I wasn’t overloading my body with things that I didn’t need, either. Great advice and it has worked for me.
